ADMISSIONS

HCLA admits children of any sex, race, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities, which are made available to all children at the school. We do not discriminate in administration or our programs and policies.

Admission Process Here at HCLA

  • Parent Interview
  • Complete and submit an application/registration for admission
  • Provide or request any prior school records
  • Successful completion of pre-admission testing (elementary students)
  • Payment of registration and tuition for each student
  • Required Documentation:
  • Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Current Immunization Records and Physical Examination Form
  • Emergency Contact Information
  • Parent / Guardian signed form agreeing to rules and procedures
  • Transcripts/Records from any school previously attended
  • Priority Registration

Because the student teacher ratio is important at HCLA, class size is limited. For this reason the following registration priorities have been established if Child is currently enrolled in a Holy Cross Preschool, Childcare or Elementary program Child has a sibling currently enrolled in Holy Cross Academy or Preschool

Enrollment Age

HCLA has taken great care in developing the scope of the curriculum to provide age appropriate progression for each child. Class enrollment follows the following guidelines:

  • INFANTS – may start once they are 6 weeks old
  • 1 YEAR OLDS – children must be able to walk with steady confidence and be drinking from a sippy-cup
  • 2 YEAR OLD CLASSES– children must be 2 on or before September 1st of the current school year.
  • 3 YEAR OLD CLASSES – children must be 3 on or before September 1st of the current school year and fully toilet trained.
  • 4 YEAR OLD CLASSES – children must be 4 on or before September 1st of the current school year.
  • KINDERGARTEN – children entering Kindergarten must be 5 on or before September 1st of the current school year.
  • FIRST GRADE – children entering First grade must be 6 on or before September 1st, or have documentation of Kindergarten completion from an accredited school.
