Quarter 3 News (January 9th - March 16th)
Elementary
During our weekly technology class we will be focusing on getting to know computers and what makes them work,improving on our keyboarding skills through typing software, games and projects, extending their classroom lessons with hands on games, internet searches and special projects, and teaching skills on utilizing technology in their classrooms for assignments and projects. We will also be looking at internet safety and how to safely search and navigate the internet.
Middle School
Students have requested that we continue to expand on their keyboarding skills, delve into multi-media software suites to enhance their presentations and special projects for their other classes, as well as, looking at some new software and internet capabilities. We will look at the proper way to utilize, search and site internet sources for written reports and papers, including how to handle copyrights, trademarks and apply credits to works used. All Middle School students will take part in an educational Anti-Bullying program aimed at identifying and teaching them how to deal with cyber bullying and safe internet practices.
