As the school year begins its time to say hello to familiar faces and greet the new ones. Technology this year will prepare students apply technology to their life in both school and else where. The first quarter for the Middle School we will be focusing key goals to help lay the ground work for the rest of the school year.

Review on keyboarding skills
Typing Practice
Focuses on the skills to effectively and efficiently use word processor programs
The evolution of modern computers.

For the Elementary school we will be focusing heavily on learning the keyboard and teaching proper typing technique, as well as learning the basics of office applications like word and power point.

My goal this term is to help impart an understanding to the students of not only where the technology that they use in there everyday life has come from, but where it will be going in the future. I want to show students how learning these skills can aid them in all aspects of their life. But just like anything else in life we need to build a strong foundation before we can expand upon it.
