Quarter 3 News (January 9th - March 16th)

The study and understanding of music is both educational and enriching. Many studies have been completed showing the positive value of music study on the development of the brain. At Holy Cross Lutheran Academy, we offer Music Classes to all students, Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Elementary Grades – God Made Music! During the 3rd quarter, the Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade music classes will be exploring the musical scale and melodic notes..

3rd & 4th grade music classes will continue their study of how to play the soprano recorders.

Elementary Chorus – Chorus I & II will start working on Spring songs and sing in Chapel.

Middle School – Creating music is an exciting experience! For the 3rd quarter, we have expanded the options of Musical Ensembles in which the Middle School students can participate.

Band – Beginning Band – Wednesdays – 1:04-1:49

Concert Band – Mondays & Thursdays – 2:38-3:38

Chimes – Chimers – Wednesdays – 2:38-3:22

Chime Team – Tuesdays & Fridays – 2:38-3:22

Chorus – Wednesdays – 9:05-9:25 ***Need a volunteer accompanist that can help us every Wednesday immediately after Chapel.***

Private Lessons – Private lessons time slots are full at this time. More opportunities will be available in January for piano, voice, or flute lessons.
