My goal for this year is to FLOW with the Spirit. I have the
Freedom to share and to teach God's truth; The Love
from God to give to others; the desire to be Open to the
needs of others; and the Wisdom to teach the children in my
care what they need to move forward in life successfully.

About Our Classroom

Greetings,
Kindergarten Parents!
Our new year has gotten off to a great start! How thankful we
are that all is well and I pray that it is with you all, too.
Each week I will have a short summary of what is planned for the
coming week. I'll also include any items of interest, bits of
classroom news, and, if necessary, things that might be needed.
Religion: we will be completing our study of God's creation.
The weekly Bible verse is listed on the Bible story paper which is
sent home. Reciting this verse is done on Friday.
Language Arts: identifying the letters of the alphabet;
listening and responding to the stories which are read; listening to
rhymes to hear patterns, syllables, and beginning sounds; reading
the words I and can; responding orally and in their journals with a
sentence; and we'll even do a word web.
Math: working with colors, shapes, numbers, matching and
sorting.
Social Studies: New Friends - getting to know each other. We
will begin to take pictures of the school for the school book they
will make.
Science: Along with our study of creation, we will be
learning about the solar system.
Needs: Friday is cooking day. We need a box of saltine
crackers, butter, and jam (strawberry and grape in the squeeze
bottles). If you can contribute one of these items, please let me
know. I'll Have a sign up sheet outside the door on the plastic mail
box.
